This role ensures we have a robust internal controls framework in place to safeguard our assets and provide accurate financial and non-financial reporting for sustainable business performance.

What's the role about?

Internal Controls & Financial Reporting:
• Support the business in the effective adoption and ongoing review of internal controls.
• Coordinate the annual completion of the ABF Financial Control Framework Questionnaire.
• Liaise closely with Internal Audit to ensure timely resolution and closure of any audit findings.

Non-Financial Reporting (NFR)
• Represent Finance on the newly established NFR Steering Group, helping to design and roll out required governance across the wider Group.

Compliance (ABC & Data Protection)
• Provide finance oversight on data integrity and reporting accuracy, working closely with the Financial Controller to ensure robust, consistent processes.
• Support the business on Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) and Data Protection (DP) compliance, including attending quarterly ABF Group update calls.
• Drive awareness and promote compliance standards across the business through communication and engagement activities.

Reporting & Controls Team Responsibilities
• Review and coordinate several international VAT returns (including Poland, Ireland, Canada and Germany) in partnership with external tax specialists.
• Support various Employment Tax compliance activities, working alongside HR to ensure processes are robust and aligned with Group requirements.
• Prepare tax submissions to Group and provide best-practice guidance to international hubs.
• Support the period-end reporting process as required, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Contribute to broader team priorities and continuous improvement within the Reporting & Controls function.
• Participate in a variety of ad-hoc and change-driven projects, such as UK SOX readiness, technical accounting updates, and new business set-ups.
