We are seeking a proactive and organised Stores Front Line Manager to lead our Stores operation and ensure the safe, efficient and compliant management of raw materials, packaging and consumables.
 

Leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for driving stock accuracy, ensuring material availability to support production, maintaining traceability standards and delivering excellent service to internal customers. You will work closely with Production, Planning, Procurement and Technical teams to support operational performance while promoting a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

 

This is a Day Shift role, working Monday to Friday.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead, coach and develop the Stores team to deliver departmental and site objectives.
  • Ensure the team are fully aware and compliant with all Health & Safety standards, policies, Safe Systems of Work (SSW’s) and legislation.
  • Oversee the safe receipt, storage and issue of raw materials, packaging and consumables.
  • Maintain high levels of stock accuracy through robust inventory control processes.
  • Manage cycle counts, stock takes and investigation of inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure effective stock rotation and full product traceability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work closely with Planning, Procurement and Production teams to ensure material availability.
  • Manage goods-in processes and supplier deliveries.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy and service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, Health & Safety and site procedures.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

The Right Person

Essential

  • 2 - 5 years’ experience of leading a team preferably in a warehouse environment
  • Experience working within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of GMP requirements / Food Safety / Health & Safety
  • Proficient IT skills, including experience with inventory or ERP systems.
  • Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven experience of promoting a Safety First Culture


Desirable

  • Forklift license
  • Experience of purchasing and planning processes.
  • Knowledge of ingredient and packaging traceability requirements.
  • Experience with SAP
