At Hovis Bakeries, we're looking for HGV Class 2 (Class C) Delivery Drivers to join our Glasgow Depot, helping deliver some of the UK's best-loved bakery products to our customers.

Whether you're an experienced multi-drop driver or have recently passed your Class C test and are ready to get started, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll be joining a team that takes pride in doing a great job, looking out for one another and getting our products to customers safely and on time.

🚛 What does the job involve?

As one of our Delivery Drivers, you'll be an important part of our Glasgow operation, making sure our bakery products reach customers across Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Making multi-drop deliveries to our customers, ensuring products arrive safely and on time.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is safe and ready for the road.
• Loading and unloading products safely as part of your delivery route.
• Providing great customer service, building positive relationships with the people you meet.
• Following road safety and transport procedures, including Drivers' Hours and tachograph requirements.
• Working together with our transport and despatch teams to keep deliveries running smoothly.
• Looking after your vehicle, reporting any defects or issues promptly.

What about the working hours?

We believe it's important to be upfront about what to expect.

You'll typically start at 3:00am, working an average of 45.5 hours per week, across 5 days out of 7. Weekend working is included as part of a rota.

It's an early start, but you'll be playing an important part in getting our products to customers ready for the day ahead.

👋 What we're looking for

We're looking for people who enjoy driving, take pride in their work and understand the importance of delivering safely and providing a reliable service.

You'll need:

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.

• A valid Driver CPC qualification.

• A safety-conscious and responsible approach to driving.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• A willingness to work the advertised shift pattern, including weekends.

• A positive approach to teamwork and supporting colleagues.

You don't need years of driving experience to join us. If you've recently gained your Class C licence and are looking for an opportunity to build your experience, we welcome your application.
