Are you ready to take your next career step? We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and organised Transport Administrator to join our dynamic team on a 6month fixed-term contract. The role is 40 hours per week and operates on a rolling work pattern, offering a varied and engaging schedule that includes some weekend working. This flexible approach helps ensure strong support for the team during busy and holiday periods, while providing a dynamic and rewarding working environment. With flexible start times between 6:00am and 9:00am, you can tailor your workday to fit your lifestyle.
As a key member of our team, you’ll play an integral part in keeping our transport operation running smoothly. From debriefing drivers to supporting managers with essential administrative tasks, you’ll be right at the heart of our operation.
Key Accountabilities
- Welcoming and debriefing drivers as they return to the depot, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and complete.
- Checking and verifying Proof of Delivery (POD) documents, making sure all adjustments are correctly processed.
- Using our telematics tracking system to support the smooth running of daily transport activities.
- Preparing collection notes and checking them thoroughly upon return.
- Maintaining precise records, including basket data in Excel.
- Downloading and processing driver tachograph cards.
- Helping identify the root causes of any losses through proactive driver engagement.
- Working closely with our Customer Contact team to resolve queries swiftly and professionally.
- Using POD data to investigate and resolve customer claims.
- Compiling insightful daily, weekly, and periodic reports on losses and delivery performance.
- Providing comprehensive admin support to the Logistics Management Team whenever needed.
Key Ingredients for Success
- Experience in a busy administrative role (Logistics – Desirable)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience on SAP
- Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
- A proactive, self-driven approach and a passion for achieving results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A practical mindset with sharp attention to detail.
- The ability to organise and prioritise tasks to support key KPI delivery.
- High standards for accuracy and quality in everything you do.
