Location: Stockport
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – 06:00 to 18:00 (Days)

At Allied Bakeries, we’re proud to bake some of the UK’s most loved brands – Kingsmill, Sunblest, and Allinson. We’re now on the lookout for a dynamic Transport Front Line Manager to join our dedicated Transport team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven management experience in the FMCG sector (ideally food) who thrives on leading teams, driving performance, and delivering exceptional service.
Key Accountabilities
As a key part of our Transport leadership team, you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and motivating our team of Drivers, Coordinators and administrators to ensure safe, timely deliveries and collections.
- Setting clear goals and expectations to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Champion health and safety initiatives across all transport operations, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management and a culture of safety compliance.
- Collaborate closely with the Vehicle Maintenance Unit to ensure full compliance with all company and DVSA standards and regulations.
- Lead the enforcement of compliance standards related to Tachograph usage and driver regulations, promoting best practices across the team.
- Optimising labour utilisation through effective scheduling and flexibility.
- Recruiting, training, and developing team members who embody our values.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and service.
- Resolving service issues quickly and escalating when necessary.
