Join Our Team: We are seeking Bakery Operatives to join our production team.

We are looking for motivated and hardworking Bakery Operatives to join our fast-paced production team in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. If you enjoy hands-on work and want to build a career in food manufacturing, this could be the perfect oppertunity for you! 

📍 Location: Allied Bakeries, Newcastle-under-Lyme.
💰 Salary: Starting at £28,791.60 increasing to £32,172.07 after successful completion of training.
🕙 Shifts: Average if 42 hours per week.

This role operates 12-hour rotating shifts, on a varied shift pattern, including night work and weekends.

What You Need To Know:

As a Bakery Operative, you will play a key role in producing high-quality bakery products within a busy and highly regulated manufacturing environment.

🔹Engage in the Safety First culture and compliance with AB internal policies and procedures 

🔹Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and housekeeping

🔹Monitor product quality and consistency 

🔹Support the efficient operation of production lines

🔹Take part in training and development activities, including 1-to-1 sessions

This is a physically demanding role in a fat-paced factory enviroment, so resilience, reliability, and  a positive attitude are essential.

The Right Person

Essential

✅ Good awareness of Health, Safety and Food Safety
✅ Basic numeracy and literacy skills, including record keeping and following instructions
✅ A positive can-do attitude, with a willingness to learn

Advantageous

✅ Understanding and application of food hygiene/GMP/(ABSS standards) 
✅ Understanding of baking process 
✅ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate IOSH or equivalent
