Exciting Opportunity: Join the Logistics Team at Allied Bakeries!

 

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Logistics Administrator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transport department, providing administrative support and coordinating logistics activities.

As an Administrator, you will have an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department. You'll be responsible for the accurate debriefing of all drivers and providing essential administrative support to the management team.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

🔹 Debrief all drivers upon their return to the depot, ensuring paperwork is completed and all questions are addressed.
🔹 Verify Proof of Delivery (POD) documents and ensure all necessary adjustments are accurately processed.
🔹 Utilise the telematics tracking system to support day-to-day operations.
🔹 Prepare and process collection notes and check them upon return to the site.
🔹 Maintain accurate records, including basket information in Excel.
🔹 Ensure driver tachograph cards are downloaded and processed.
🔹 Investigate root causes of losses through driver engagement.
🔹 Collaborate with the Customer Contact Department to resolve issues and complaints within a timely manner.
🔹 Use POD data to resolve customer claims.
🔹 Compile and analyse reports, including daily, weekly, or periodic loss and delivery reports.
🔹 Provide administrative support to the Logistics Management Team when needed.

Plus, any other duties which reasonably correspond to the general character of the role. The above list of accountabilities is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake duties as may be reasonably expected.

What We're Looking For

 

✅    Excellent administration and organisational skills
✅    An effective communicator, with excellent verbal and written skills
✅    Naturally curious, willing to learn and develop
✅    Intermediate level IT skills in Excel, Word and Outlook
✅    Outstanding attention to detail to ensure accurate records are maintained
✅    Ability to work to strict timescales
✅    Knowledge of appropriate driver legislation, Fraighter, Microlise, Tachomaster, and consignment management software is desirable but not essential
✅    Team player, self-motivated, flexible and confident
✅    General awareness of health and safety is essential
