🕙 Hours: Part-time, 2-3 days per week
💰 Salary: Circa £50k, dependent on experience (pro-rata)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Health Advisor to join Allied Bakeries in Stoke. Working closely with the HR team and line management, this role will be responsible for delivering an exceptional Occupational Health service across our bakery. Core activities include maintaining health surveillance compliance and fitness assessments, as well as health and wellbeing promotion and case management.
What You'll Be Doing
🔹 You'll be responsible for the full Occupational Health remit in a busy 24/7 continuous manufacturing environment. You will work closely with HR and line managers in relation to health screening and surveillance, absence and ill-health case management, and capability matters.
🔹 Alongside the site management team, you will drive the proactive risk management of work-related health issues and provide direct support, monitoring and reporting on Occupational Health related performance, including KPIs.
🔹 You will act as the focal point for developing and engaging people in local health promotion and wellbeing plans, as well as collaborating with the National Health & Safety Team and other Occupational Health Advisors in relation to the wider Occupational Health & Safety agenda.
What We're Looking For
The successful applicant must have a collaborative approach to Occupational Health and be able to communicate well and build relationships. You will be comfortable working on your own initiative in a fast paced environment and be ready to hit the ground running.
Registered General Nurse (RGN) status plus recognised Occupational Health qualifications and experience of surveillance and complex case management are essential. Additionally you will ideally have experience working in a manufacturing environment or similar industry.
Other essential skills include:
✅ The ability to provide appropriate expert, timely effective and practicable Occupational Health advice.
✅ Experience of diary management, with a focus on surveillance compliance.
✅ An organised and methodical approach to records management, in line with data protection protocols.
✅ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prioritise a caseload and manage your time effectively.
✅ A positive and professional attitude, as well as the ability to self-motivate.
