We have an excellent career opportunity for an experienced and dynamic engineering professional to join the Site Leadership Team at our Stoke bakery as Site Engineering Manager.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will have full responsibility for the Engineering function and play a significant role in the overall management of the site, steering the safety culture and maintaining a safe working environment.
What You'll Be Responsible For
🔹 Driving a safety culture by improving and maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring all team members are aware and compliant with health and safety standards, legal and company requirements.
🔹 Leading, developing and motivating the engineering team to achieve their KPIs; creating a high-performance culture which encourages innovation, continuous improvement and maximum productivity.
🔹 Leading major engineering projects and initiatives to ensure their successful implementation.
🔹 Effectively managing the engineering budget, constantly reviewing costs and identifying opportunities for savings, including PDPs.
🔹 Building and developing effective relationships with the SLT and management teams to ensure cross functional working and with the wider AB Central Engineering team to ensure best practice is shared.
🔹 Leading the development and utilisation of site maintenance systems, effective preventative maintenance and condition monitoring techniques to achieve a maximum level of asset availability to meet business needs.
What We're Looking For
✅ Proven experience in a senior engineering role, ideally in a commercially challenging, results driven, FMCG/Food Manufacturing environment.
✅ Comprehensive experience of maintenance systems, the successful implementation of an effective engineering strategy and capital project delivery.
✅ Chartered Engineer status, with a relevant degree, or equivalent.
✅ You will be an accomplished leader able to build effective stakeholder relationships, with the credibility to influence at all levels of the business.
