We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join the Finance Team based at our West Bromwich site.  Reporting to the Regional Finance Business Partner this role has accountability and ownership for the  financial reporting and processing activities across three sites, including providing analysis of key variances and making a contribution to the Budget & Forecast processes

Key Accountabilities

As an Assistant Management Accountant you’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations, including:

 

✔️   Ensure all processes are completed to facilitate weekly & period reporting and analysis

✔️   Issuing weekly & period reports to the GM & site leadership teams

✔️  Understanding site costs and the variances to budget & forecast in all key areas

✔️  Working with Finance Business Partner to ensure compliance to financial controls

✔️  Liaising with other members of the central finance team to contribute to accurate budgeting & forecasting

✔️  Providing ad hoc finance support for GM & senior managers 

✔️  Involvement in quarterly forecasting

✔️  Assisting with ad-hoc tasks to ensure the Finance Services team delivers a high-quality service.

The Right Person

✔️  AAT or equivalent background good experience of working in a Finance role.

✔️  Strong spreadsheet and numerical skills.

✔️  Understanding of manufacturing and logistics processes

✔️  Able to work independently while managing large volumes of data accurately.

✔️  Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and have the ability to understand the bigger picture

✔️  Confident communicator with a strong team ethic.

✔️  Flexible, proactive, and committed to doing a great job.
