Overview of role

Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands

We are looking for an apprentice HGV Mechanic to join our team at Allied Bakeries.  This is a Monday to Friday role, 39 hours per week during your apprenticeship and you would be given day release to attend college one day a week during term time. Preferably we would consider applicants already part through their apprenticeship or anyone who wants to start out on an apprenticeship.

Key Accountabilities

You'll learn how our garage operates and to fix and maintain all of our HGVs and get trained by senior colleagues. On top of your on-the-job experience you'll work towards an Apprenticeship Standard that is recognised across the industry and will help you build your career here.

The Right Person

• Have a logical way of working.
• Ambition to learn and develop in a hands-on role.
• You need to have an interest in Mechanical work and a strong work ethic.
• We're looking for people who can work well as part of a team and are driven to find the answers to problems.
• On top of that you'll need to be a strong communicator and have five GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English and Science at grade C or higher.
