Overview of role

Role: Supply Chain Controller

Location: Trafford Park, Manchester

Hours: 37.5 p/week (Monday to Friday)

Location: 

  • Named CPC on O Licence
  • Responsible for ensuring the Distribution operation is compliant with O Licence​
  • Crimson control – monitoring and updating​
  • Responsible for ensuring team maintain servicing of vehicles across the fleet – own and hired​
  • Overseeing Working Time Directive & Tacho infringements​
  • Responsible for maintaining contact with Warehouse / Westmill / Third party haulage​
  • Collation of distribution period KPI’s​
  • Overseeing the distribution operation ensuring the day to day operation is on track to meet all the requested customer orders and being managed by duty FLM/Team leader ​
  • Overseeing the bagged trade operation, ensuring the hauliers are being managed and on schedule to meet OTIF​

Key Accountabilities

  • The purpose of the role is to support the Warehouse and Distribution functions achieve a seamless supply chain providing outstanding customer service.
  • The role will be responsible for the warehouse, organising all bagged flour production and traffic movements, overseeing the distribution function to ensure overall legal compliance and that all customer requirements are met.
  • The SCC will deputise for the Distribution Manager when required. 

The Right Person

  • Knowledge of the whole supply chain process; particularly
  • distribution & Warehouse and the synergies and challenges
  • between both warehouse and distribution’s when developing the
  • plan, to ensure it is the most efficient solution​
  • CPC management qualification is essential ​
  • Experience of leading a team and achieving performance
  • standards.​
  • Management of Legal compliance – Driver & Fleet ​
  • IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)​
  • UKFM module (Warehouse/Transport & Safety) is desirable​
  • Highly numerate, able to process orders into planning schedules​
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office and systems including
  • Crimson & Isotrak
