As an Integration Developer within our Grocery Service Centre, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of interface solutions that support our application landscape. Your expertise in coding, problem-solving, and collaboration will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality software that meets the needs of our organisation. The integration developer's role is multifaceted and is part of the central IS function, therefore requires direct engagement across all Grocery Group and support BU's both internal and external to the IS function.

 

This is a fixed term role for 12 months which offers a hybrid work model, providing flexibility while being part of a collaborative environment.

Key Accountabilities

As an Integration Developer, your key responsibilities will include:

 

✔️ Design integration solutions and address potential issues.

✔️ Build and maintain integrations using various languages and APIs.

✔️ Support software architecture and technical design.

✔️ Develop and manage APIs for system communication.

✔️ Troubleshoot integration issues (data, performance, connectivity).

✔️ Map and transform data for accurate exchange.

✔️ Apply security best practices to protect data.

✔️ Maintain clear documentation for code, APIs, and architecture.

✔️ Engage in Agile processes (stand-ups, planning, retrospectives).

The Right Person

Essential Skills:
✔️ API or interface / Integration Development or equivalent experience.
✔️ SQL Query writing.
✔️ ETL development.
✔️ Understand data structures and relational databases.

 

Desirable Skills:
✔️ MuleSoft Development.
✔️ API product development (http, REST, MuleSoft design style).
✔️  Integration concepts and patterns.
✔️ Communication protocols (FTP, SFTP, HTTP).
✔️ File structures (JSON, XML, Flat file etc).
✔️ Data mapping and process definition.
✔️ Data integration tools and techniques such as ETL.
✔️ Relevant related areas such as data quality, master data management, metadata management.
✔️ Defining data models, standards, and repeatable services.
✔️ Version control and library management.
✔️ Authentication, directory services, security.
✔️ Encryption.
✔️ Process monitoring, notification, and alerting/ event management.
✔️ Any exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 FO.
