As a Payroll Advisor, you'll manage your own portfolio of payrolls from start to finish—delivering precision and compliance every step of the way. With 19 payrolls running across multiple systems, attention to detail and control excellence are essential.

 

In this vital role, you'll support the Payroll Manager and Team Leads in delivering high-quality payroll services across the ABF Group, maintaining accurate records, following robust controls, and helping to uphold our reputation for payroll excellence.

Key Accountabilities

 

As a Payroll Advisor your key responsibilities will include:

 

✔️ Processing monthly payrolls accurately and on time, meeting business standards.

✔️ Managing pension administration and auto-enrolment reporting across multiple schemes.

✔️ Ensuring accurate payments, reconciliations, and reporting of all deductions.

✔️ Providing clear, accurate payroll data in response to internal requests.

✔️ Assisting with costing and resolving related technical queries.

✔️ Supporting system upgrades through testing and documentation.

✔️ Assisting Payroll Manager, Team Leads, and wider team as needed.

✔️ Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to control processes.

✔️ Processing Time & Attendance and bulk uploads, ensuring audit compliance.

✔️ Supporting audit preparation by gathering required payroll data.

The Right Person

 

We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual with:

 

✔️ 2+ years Payroll experience.

✔️ Sound payroll experience to include managing multiple remote and complex payrolls, yearend processes, and tax changes.

✔️ Strong Pensions Knowledge.

✔️ Knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, SSP and SMP and RTI.

✔️ Experience of using computerized time and attendance systems to populate payroll data as well as manual methods.

✔️ Good Excel skills.

✔️ A working knowledge of ELF Time and Attendance system.

✔️ A working knowledge of Success Factors payroll system.

✔️ Be technically sound in all aspects of payroll processing and have a tenacious approach coupled with a strong eye for quality and continuous improvement in all they do.
