📍 Location: Liverpool, Merseyside
💰 Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum - experience dependent
🏢 Hybrid Working: On average 2 days in the office per week (subject to business requirements)
📆 Fixed Term for 12 months
As a Developer in the IS Grocery Service Centre, you’ll design, build, and support scalable cloud-first solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on modernising platforms using cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-code, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
Working in Agile teams, you’ll contribute across the full software lifecycle—from design to deployment and support—while promoting best practices in Azure, DevOps, and continuous delivery.

Key Accountabilities
✔️ Develop and maintain Azure cloud-native solutions.
✔️ Build CI/CD pipelines (using YAML, Azure DevOps).
✔️ Deliver infrastructure-as-code (using Terraform).
✔️ Deploy services using Azure PaaS (using App Services, Functions).
✔️ Write clean, maintainable C# code.
✔️ Modernise applications to cloud best practices.
✔️ Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise cloud systems.
✔️ Support secure, scalable solution design.
✔️ Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies.
✔️ Implement testing and automated deployments.
✔️ Produce technical documentation.
✔️ Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
✔️ Improve deployment processes and cloud adoption.
The Right Person
✔️ 3+ years’ developer experience.
✔️ Strong Azure and cloud development skills.
✔️ Experience with Azure, DevOps and YAML pipelines.
✔️ Knowledge of Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
✔️ Proficiency in C#, SQL Server, Visual Studio.
✔️ Experience with cloud/hybrid systems (e.g. Dynamics 365, Power Platform).
✔️ Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and software design principles.
✔️ Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
✔️ Able to manage multiple priorities.
✔️ ITIL certification (desirable).
