As a member of the IS Grocery Service team, the Technical Services Manager will lead the Technical Function to deliver our software development and data management initiatives. The Technical Services Manager is part of the overall IS Leadership Team and requires the management of the multiple IS technical services teams and management of internal and external stakeholders. This will include shaping the technology roadmap, enhancing data-driven decision-making, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Key Accountabilities
✔️ Lead and manage the technical teams, including software developers, data engineers, data analysts, and database administrators. Encouraging a collaborative and high-performance culture within the teams.
✔️ Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software solutions that address business needs. Collaborate with key business stake holders, developers, and other system experts to ensure effective solution delivery.
✔️ Define and implement a data strategy that supports data acquisition, storage, integration, analysis, and reporting. Develop data governance policies and ensure data quality and security.
✔️ Enable data-driven decision-making by providing accurate, timely, and actionable insights to business stakeholders. Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to derive meaningful insights from data
✔️ Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data, to create innovative products and solutions that drive business growth.
✔️ Plan and oversee development and data projects, setting milestones, managing resources, and ensuring timely delivery. Report project progress and manage risks effectively.
✔️ Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical efforts and business goals. Communicate technical updates, progress, and challenges effectively.
The Right Person
✔️ Proven experience (5+ years) in leadership roles involving software development, data management, or a related field.
✔️ Strong technical background with experience in software development methodologies, data engineering, data analytics, and database management.
✔️ Experience in strategic planning and resource allocation.
✔️ Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide technical teams.
✔️ Proficiency in project management, with a track record of delivering complex software and data projects on time.
✔️ Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in software development and data management.
✔️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
✔️ Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, and data-related certifications.
