Overview of role
As part of our People & Performance Team, you’ll be at the heart of helping Jordans Cereals achieve its bold ambitions. We’re a small, supportive, and close knit team with a big purpose: to attract, develop, and inspire brilliant people. From recruitment to development, engagement to wellbeing, we shape every stage of the employee experience — creating an inclusive, safe, energising workplace where we all thrive and can be our best.
In this role as People Services Administrator, you’ll be a trusted partner in delivering reliable, high-quality people services that colleagues and managers can rely on. You’ll own key processes, keep our data accurate and flowing, and provide vital support across reporting, reward, and day to day people operations. Your role helps build the capacity, consistency, and resilience that keeps the People Services function running brilliantly.
Working closely with the People Services Manager, our People Business Partners, Finance, and the Grocery Shared Service Centre (GSC), you’ll play an important part in ensuring our people processes run smoothly and continuously improve. You’ll be encouraged to bring ideas, spot opportunities to simplify or enhance what we do, and help us deliver great experiences for everyone.
This role also offers development and scope to grow.
With the right support and training, you’ll have the opportunity to deputise for the People Services Manager in specific areas — making this a fantastic stepping stone if you’re looking to build a career in HR and want to learn in a team that champions growth, collaboration, and care.
Key Accountabilities
People Services & Administration
Deliver high quality, reliable people services across the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding and contractual changes to leavers and everything in between. You’ll take end to end ownership of defined people processes, ensuring they’re followed consistently and continually improved. As a knowledgeable and approachable point of contact, you’ll handle routine People Services queries with confidence, resolving issues efficiently and escalating where needed. You’ll also act as an essential day to day link with our Grocery Shared Service Centre (GSC), building strong relationships and ensuring seamless delivery on allocated processes.
Pay & Absence Processing and Query Resolution
Play a key role in supporting our payroll process by managing pay related administration, including accurate processing of absence data and payments. You’ll act as the first line of support for pay queries, investigating issues, providing clear explanations, and driving timely resolutions that colleagues can trust.
Reporting & Data
Take ownership of producing accurate, consistent and timely monthly People KPI reporting. You’ll dig into the detail to investigate data issues, trends or anomalies, sharing meaningful insights with the People Services Manager. Over time, you’ll help us improve the quality of our people data and contribute to enhancements in reporting, automation, and the overall employee experience.
Deputy Support
Receive training in key People Services Manager responsibilities — such as payroll sign off preparation and controls — so you can confidently deputise across defined operational areas when required. You’ll follow agreed controls and guidance to ensure continuity, reliability, and a seamless colleague experience during periods of absence.
