Overview of role

Location: Biggleswade Factory Site
Shift: Panama shift – 12-hour shifts, 2 weeks of days followed by 2 weeks of nights on a 4-week rotating pattern.

We’re on the lookout for a Multi-Skilled Mechanical & Electrical Shift Engineer to join our friendly and ambitious team at Jordans.

Your Purpose

You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and continuously improving our manufacturing equipment, plant, and facilities to ensure production volumes and efficiencies are met. You’ll work closely with production teams to resolve safety, quality, or downtime issues quickly and effectively, while driving proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work safely by applying sound engineering principles and safe systems of work (isolations, Permit to Work, Risk Assessment) across a diverse range of equipment.
  • Carry out maintenance and timely repairs using root cause analysis, while driving continuous improvement.
  • Share your expertise by training, coaching, and mentoring Machine Minders, Operators, Junior Engineers, and Apprentices.
  • Champion proactive maintenance and help us raise the bar on performance and reliability
  • Would be great if you have used CMMS system (Computerised Maintenance management system such as Agility, Shirer, SAP)

  • Strong mechanical and electrical engineering skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment effectively.

  • Commitment to safety and quality, using the SAFE reporting system to highlight potential hazards.
