Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 4-hour shifts, 08:00 – 12:00, 20 hours per week

We’re looking for a Yard Operative to join our friendly and ambitious team. As part of the ABF group, we have big plans for the next five years, you’ll play a key role in shaping our future. The role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to be responsible for effective management of waste, recycling and external hygiene standards across the site, supporting food safety, environmental compliance and operational excellence.
Key Accountabilities
Our Quality Assurance Manager is looking for a team member to...
• Lead boldly — Follow all Health & Safety policies, site rules and safe systems of work
• Stay curious — Report safety hazards, damages, near misses or incidents promptly
• Do the right thing together — Support continuous improvement initiatives within yard and warehouse operations and work collaboratively with Warehouse, Operations, Engineering and Quality teams
• Make it happen — Assist with goods-in and goods-out activities, ensuring accurate stock movement and documentation and segregate, handle and dispose of waste and recyclable materials in accordance with site procedures.

• Strong awareness of Health & Safety
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to work in physically demanding environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Previous experience in a warehouse, yard or logistics environment (desirable)
• Forklift Truck (FLT) licence or experience (desirable)
