Join Us as Our Financial Controller and Shape the Future of Jordans Cereals. 
We’re looking for an experienced Financial Controller to step into a high‑impact role at Jordans Cereals—a brand with big ambitions and an exciting growth journey ahead.
As the leader of our Central Finance team, you’ll guide a team of four, partner closely with our Group Service Centre, and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial heartbeat of our newly relaunched business. 

This is a highly visible, strategically important position with direct exposure to the Jordans Cereals Management Team and our parent company, Associated British Foods plc (ABF). With recent changes to our structure and systems, we’re looking for someone who brings both expertise and curiosity—someone ready to refine, improve, and elevate the way we work.

Key Accountabilities

  • Business performance management
        Lead monthly reporting process
        Co-ordinate forecast and budget cycles
        Improve access to transparent financial and non-financial information
        Meet external reporting requirements (incl. statutory reporting, VAT, national statistics etc
  • Maintain a robust control environment
         Adhere to ABF’s Financial Control Framework
         Improve financial processes, finding the right balance between efficiency and control
         Monitor and support internal and external audits
         Manage Anti-Bribery and Corruption processes
         Help the business execute good budgetary control
  • Treasury and Tax
         Partner with ABF’s treasury and tax teams to ensure we meet their requirements
         Manage foreign exchange risks and execute hedging
         Liaise with international tax teams so they can complete required returns
         Manage indirect tax processes and submissions
  • Team management
        Manage work planning across the team of 4, leveraging our Group Service Centre to outsource tasks
        Ensure that all team members are developing in role and support their career ambitions

 

The Right Person

    • A qualified accountant e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc
    • Previous experience in a Financial Controller position
    • Highly organised and able to keep the business on track with clear deadlines
    • Rigorous attention to detail with good judgment on materiality/bigger picture
    • A clear communicator who is able to explain the relevance of technical issues to non-technical colleague
    • Proven track record of managing and developing a team
