We have an excellent opportunity for a EC & I Engineer to join the Ryvita team at Poole. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong technical capability, excellent problem solving skills and a passion for automation, control systems and electrical integrity.

This a permanent and full-time position, working 39 hours per on the following shift pattern:

Key Accountabilities

Our Engineering Manager is looking for a team member to... 

• Provide control, automation and electrical support for all aspects of operation and engineering functions during maintenance, improvements, projects and commissioning. 
• Routine monitoring and maintenance of the plant electrical, control and automation equipment, systems and processes to ensure reliability. 
• Ensure there is a phased replacement/upgrade strategy for control systems. 

• Assist all engineering shifts when required on fault finding to maintain minimal machine downtime. 
• Continually update and modernise the factories control, automation and electrical systems in regard to PLC’s, HMI’s, Scada, servo drives and instrumentation
• Update the Engineering maintenance system to provide feedback on completed tasks to ensure equipment histories and costs are kept up to date, enabling follow up work to be identified and planned 
• Embed a safety-first culture by setting the standard and ensuring full compliance with safety policies and regulations.

And you have the following skills and experiences.... 

• Degree/HND in Electrical Engineering, Control and Instrumentation
• 10 years post qualification industry experience in EC & I Engineering
• Strong knowledge of control theory and programming languages
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
• Health and Safety Champion
• Knowledge of Food Safety legislation
• Experience within FMCG production environment would be an advantage
