Hygiene Operative

Location: Bardney
Reports to: Office Manager

The Role

As a Hygiene Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food hygiene across our site. Your responsibilities will include:

• Complying with all site procedures, health & safety, and food safety regulations.
• Performing routine cleaning tasks across internal areas (factory floor, changing rooms, toilets, offices, canteen) and external areas.
• Managing waste clearance and ensuring proper recycling.
• Accurately recording operational and due diligence data.
• Supporting audits and demonstrating hygiene procedures to internal/external auditors and customers.
• Receiving and applying training as needed.
• Escalating issues promptly to your Line Manager.

The Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is committed to high standards and thrives in a team environment. Ideally, you will have:

• Experience: Previous experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG packaging environment.
• Skills: Good communication skills and a proactive approach to health and safety.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • IOSH Working Safely
  • Level 2 Food Safety
  • HACCP Awareness
  • COSHH Awareness
• Evidence of safe working practices and meeting performance standards.
