Location: Bradford

Speedibake are recruiting for Bakery Operatives. As a Bakery Operative you will safely and efficiently operate bakery plant equipment, complete paperwork and perform standard checks in order to guarantee quality. The ideal candidate will have previously worked in a manufacturing bakery environment. 
 

Key Accountabilities

• Engage in the Safety-First culture and comply with internal policies and procedures 
• Safely operate bakery plant equipment 
• Complete paperwork and perform standard checks in order to guarantee quality 
• To deliver product to required standards 
• To contribute to the delivery of a production plan 
• Ensure that their own, development and training needs are identified
• To actively participate and contribute in the sharing of “Best Practice” within manufacturing
   

The Right Person

Essential 

• Demonstrate a high level of Health and Food Safety awareness 
• Undertanding of the baking process in a manufacturing setting
• A good level of maths and english literacy skills
• Information recording skills

Advantageous 

• An in-depth understanding and application of food hygiene/GMP/(ABSS standards) 
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (CIEH Level 2) IOSH or equivalent 
• Ability to demonstrate basic engineering competencies/mechanical empathy 
• Understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques 
• Computer Literate
