We’re looking for an experienced Line Technician to join our team at Trafford. This is a skilled, hands-on role where you’ll take responsibility for the safe, effective and efficient running of production lines across Noodles and Spices, from raw materials through to finished goods. As a Line Technician, you’ll be right at the heart of production, working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Warehouse colleagues to keep things moving and maintain high standards of safety, quality and food safety.

You’ll work 40 hours per week on a 2-week rotating shift pattern:
• 6:00am to 6:00pm
• 6:00pm to 6:00am
What you'll be doing
As a Line Technician, you’ll:
• Take ownership of the safe and efficient running of your production line
• Carry out pre-start, quality, health and safety and CCP checks
• Monitor downtime and work with Production and Engineering to resolve issues quickly
• Manage process and quality parameters and help maintain high hygiene standards
• Make sure the line has the right materials to keep production moving
• Minimise downtime during changeovers and help the team achieve production targets
• Identify maintenance requirements and communicate them to the right teams
• Get involved in continuous improvement and look for better ways of working
• Help reduce waste while maintaining legal weights and measures requirements
What we're looking for
For this Line Technician role, we’re looking for someone who:
• Has experience working in a food manufacturing environment in a similar role
• Understands production line processes and enjoys hands-on problem solving
• Has experience or knowledge of stock control processes, ideally using WMS systems
• Has good attention to detail and takes pride in getting things right
• Communicates clearly and works well with others
• Is reliable, flexible and able to stay focused in a busy production environment
Basic food hygiene, Manual Handling and health and safety qualifications would be useful but aren’t essential.
