Overview of role

To coordinate and support the delivery of all training across our three sites with a primary focus on operational training. The Training Coordinator ensures that employees are trained to the required standard, training processes are controlled and compliant, and learning initiatives support operational excellence and site engagement.

Key Accountabilities

Maintain site training plans and ensure all SOP requirements are scheduled and met.

Coordinate and schedule all training activities, including refreshers and SME‑led sessions.

Maintain accurate training records for audit, customer, and regulatory readiness.

Support new starter onboarding by coordinating inductions and tracking completion.

Deliver soft‑skills training where appropriate (e.g., communication, teamwork, coaching basics).

Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, observations, and performance indicators.

Partner with SMEs to design, review, and improve training modules and workstation documentation.

Support internal and external audits with training evidence and competence records.

Produce training compliance reports for site leadership, identifying risks and gaps.

Engage proactively with frontline colleagues to ensure training is practical and relevant.

Communicate training updates, schedules, and progress via site channels.

Act as the primary point of contact for training queries and guidance.

The Right Person

Previous experience in a training, L&D, or HR role is essential, along with proven experience in writing, coordinating, and delivering operational, technical, and softskills training. A training qualification is desirable, and experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous. Strong organisational and planning skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyse data are required, as well as confident communication skills with the ability to influence and engage others. The role requires someone comfortable working in a fastpaced manufacturing setting, able to deliver training confidently and effectively, with a strong problemsolving mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement. A structured, methodical approach is important, and good IT skills—particularly in Excel and Word—with elearning experience being an advantage
