Job Title:  Loader

Overview of role

Your primary role is to safely operate the forklift truck, ensuring the safe, effective and efficient loading of shunt vehicles. Key responsibilities include carrying out pre-start checks as outlined in the startup checklist and completing relevant documentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for removing finished good pallets from the packing hall, applying correct labels, supplying lines with appropriate packing and consumables, removing previously used pallets and safely loading and unloading finished goods, packaging, pallets and tote bags.

Key Accountabilities

•Carry out Pre-start checks as defined in the Start up check sheet and complete all relevant documentation.

•Removal of all finished goods pallets from packing hall

•Applying the correct finished goods labels to pallets

•Provide lines with correct packaging and consumables and removal of previously used pallets.

•Removal of waste packaging/ feed/ food material

•Support line technician with palletisers when required

•Loading & unloading of finished goods, packaging including chep pallets & tote bags safely

•Carry out all hygiene tasks as defined in the hygiene works schedules and ensure on a day-to-day basis the area is maintained in a clean and tidy state.

•H&S is adhered to at all times, all Near misses/issues raised

The role may be required to undertake any reasonably necessary duties which have been assigned by management

The Right Person

To be successful in your application, you must demonstrate that you can work both within a team and use your own Initiative, have knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures, hold a valid FLT licence and have excellent communication skills and basic analytical abilities.
