Overview of role

As a key member of the Westmill Marketing team, you will take ownership of developing and delivering trade marketing initiatives that drive growth, strengthen brand presence, and support operational excellence across the Westmill EU portfolio. You will lead the execution of the EU trade promotional calendar, manage essential commercial systems, and ensure seamless in‑market activation across multiple channels.

Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, you will deliver impactful promotions and trade events, ensuring all campaign assets and activities are delivered on time, within budget, and tailored to local market needs. You will also build strong relationships with key Ethnic Retail and RTA customers, gathering market insights that help inform strategy and contribute to Westmill’s long‑term growth ambitions.

In addition, you will lead the commercial relationship with Amoy HQ and Singha HQ, including business reviews, business planning, NPD discussions, and stock management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver impactful promotional activity across the Westmill EU portfolio, supporting budget and long-term brand growth targets.
  • Develop, execute, and measure the annual trade promotional calendar and related trade events across all EU channels, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Lead the commercial relationship with Amoy HQ and Singha HQ (business reviews, business plan, NPD, stock)
  • Maintain and update central systems and databases (e.g., product catalogue, EU SharePoint portal, EU customer database) to support flawless execution and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure campaigns and supporting collateral are delivered on time, within budget, and tailored to local market needs.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimise processes and outcomes, sharing best practices and learnings with the wider team.

You will bring demonstrable Commercial or Trade Marketing experience, ideally gained within a branded FMCG environment, and be confident working across multiple markets and cultures. Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills are essential, along with the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively through compelling storytelling.

Highly organised and proactive, you will be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong planning and time‑management skills. You will also have experience in core trade marketing disciplines, including promotional execution, display, and point‑of‑sale development. A basic understanding of key financial principles (KPIs, P&L, promotional mechanics) and knowledge of wholesale and retail routes‑to‑market would be advantageous.
