Job Title:  Machine Minder (Days)

Overview of role

We are on the lookout for a Machine Minder to join our friendly team at Jordan’s Dorset Ryvita. As part of the ABF group, we have ambitious plans for growth over the next 5 years and we need someone with the drive and passion to help us get there. 

The role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for responsibility in setting up and running packing machinery, producing high quality packs of finished products, with the ability to work within the guidelines for food safety and quality.  You will be responsible for the safe effective running of high speed packing machines against daily targets whilst conducting on line quality checks and will be able to fault find issues on the line to ensure effective running.

Key Accountabilities

Our Shift Leader is looking for a team member to... 

• Be aware of Safe Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Working whilst operating machinery and equipment, providing a safe working environment for themself and others
• Rectifying simple machine operational faults and reporting more complex faults to the Engineering Team whilst maintaining accurate recording of information relating to quality of product or its constituent parts including pre-start checks and quality index
• Minimising downtime on the line ensuring all machines are running at the correct speeds as defined by machine speed criteria

•    Previous experience of working within a food production environment.
•    Team Working skills and examples of good relationships with peers and Managers.
